Lateley I've been reading lots of stuff, thanks to my Kindle. I've decided to stop keeping track of.

Reading books (Philosophical, Technical). I love learning new words. I strongly recommend Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis for anyone who shares the same interest.
I blog in free time, on Unix, Informatica and everyday life mainly.
I love to play around with Unix commands in my free time.
Lately, I am drawn to cartoons. It started off as simple sketches of cartoons and grew to targeted political, social cartoons. I don't know the shape of things to come, but hell ya, I am loving it!

How I do my computing
Being a strong supporter of FOSS, my favorite Linux distro is Linux Mint and I use it for all my computing needs. Mint comes pre-loaded with all device drivers. I strongly recommend all ethical distros, those that are 100% free.
I avoid using Windows for my personal computing needs and I do not recommend or endorse it. Unix is my favorite operating system, its elegance and super-power lies in its command line.I firmly refuse to install any non-free software on my machine.
However, I have to use Windows environment for my professional work. This limited usage doesn't give my assent to the software's license, or make me responsible its being present in the computer, so I don't see an ethical obligation to refrain from this.
Likewise, I don't need to worry about what software is in a kiosk,  or ATM that I am using. I hope their owners migrate them to free software, for their sake, but there's no need for me to refuse to touch them until then.

Favourite Personalities

Richard M Stallman

A R Rahman
Quentin Tarantino
