[Unix] Hot Keys Available In Bash Shell

Hot keys are really a boon in a text-all environment like Unix. Some of the most commanly used bash shell hot keys are as below:

ctrl + A To move from right to left.
Ctrl + E To move from left to right.
Ctrl + R To Search recently used command.
Ctrl + L To clear the screen.
CTRL + B Move the cursor backward one character.
CTRL + C Cancel the currently running command.
CTRL + D Log out of the currently brunning session. End of transmission.
CTRL + F Move the cursor forward one character.
CTRL + H Erase one character. Similar to pressing backspace.
CTRL + P Paste previous line and/or lines.
CTRL + S Stop all output on screen.  Freeze the screen.
CTRL + Q Turn all output stopped on screen back on. Un-freeze the screen.
CTRL + W Delete the last word typed in.
CTRL + Z Take the current operation and move it to the background.
